There are many types of printing processes; some of them have been listed below
- Offset lithography: It works on the basic principle that the ink and water do not mix. The images are immersed on the plates and they are first dampened with water and then ink. The ink remains in the image area and on the other hand the water adheres to the non image area. The image is then transferred to the rubber blanket and then in turn it is transferred to the paper.
- Engraving: It is one of the most expensive kinds of printing, it is also time consuming. It is used in stationeries wherein the stationery is compressed on to the copper plate, thus the letters are quietly raised on the material.
- Thermography: This process involves the fusion of powder and ink for the creation of raised lettering. Here the copper plates are not engraved; it is an economical method of printing.
